Groundnutoil advance on sustained demand

Refined palmolein prices also rose due to fresh retail demand.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial fell further following lack of demand from shippers and soap industries.

In futures trade, castorseeds continued to slide in the absence of export enquries.

In the edible section, groundnutoil gained by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,195 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,185 and refined palmolein spurted by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 628 from Rs 622.

Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold dropped Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,150 from yesterday's close of Rs 3,200 and castoroil commercial eased by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 660 from 670. Linseedoil ruled steady at Rs 770 per 10 kg.

Moving to futures, castorseed for June contract resumed lower at Rs 3,150, and dipped further to Rs 3,064 before settling at Rs 3,070 as against Rs 3,164 yesterday, showing a fall of Rs 94 per tonne.
