Meanwhile, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil held steady in the absence of any major buying activity.

In the futures market, castorseeds encountered selling following lower export enquiries.

In the edible section, Groundnutoil surged by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,255 from Friday's closing level of Rs 1,245 and refined palmolein looked up by a rupee per 10 kg to Rs 660 from Rs 659.

Moving to futures, castorseed for June contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,470, but later drifted lower to close at Rs 3,435 from Rs 3,466 previously, showing a loss Rs 31 per tonne.

However, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil all closed unaltered at Rs 3,350, Rs 700 and Rs 770, respectively. PTI PAK ARR
