Environment Minister Anil Madhav Dave in a written reply in Lok Sabha has said that the proposed action plan also includes chapters on strengthening and improving protected area network, landscape level approach of wildlife conservation and conservation of threatened species.
"The group constituted by the Environment Ministry for formulation of the National Wildlife Action Plan (2017-2031) has submitted its report," Dave said.
It also includes chapters on management of tourism in wildlife areas, people's participation in wildlife conservation, conservation awareness and outreach, development of human resources, strengthening research and monitoring and ensuring sustained funding of wildlife sector and integrating national wildlife action plan with other sectoral programmes.
"The action plan has taken into account the outcomes of scientific studies on wildlife management as published in peer reviewed journals and has indicated actions required and priority projects with responsibility and time frame in the chapters.
He said that the group consisted of eight non-official experts including four members of National Board of Wildlife and the group interacted with states in consultation meetings.
The draft was also hosted on the Ministry's website for comments which have also been incorporated appropriately.
