The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a global body of professional accountants, today said it has built its competency framework in the country to provide a globally relevant professional qualification in accountancy and finance.
ACCA executives said at a press conference here that the framework would benefit students and enable them to gain a competitive advantage in the workplace and also provides skills needed by employers.
They said in view of India's 29 states operating asa single economic market, there is a growing demand forfinance professionals who possess international as well asnational expertise.
ACCA's head of international development Sajid Khan said, "It is our clear aim to foster business relevant skills in our students to help them fast-track their career growth. That's why we work closely with colleges and employers in India to enrich careers, providing people with a qualificationthat is truly global."
