"The GSRTC is going to add 22 new bus stations in various parts of the state at a cost of Rs 15 core, of which 17 stations would be inaugurated before the end of the financial year," Ghodasara said.
Renovation and modernisation of the existing bus stations is also underway and nearly Rs 2.85 core would be spent on the modernisation of Gandhinagar bus station, he said.
The corporation has taken several steps for the safety of commuters and installed CCTV cameras at ten bus stations. "We are planning to install CCTV cameras at 50 other stations soon," he added.
The GSRTC has decided to deploy 30 new Volvo buses to connect the main cities, Ghodasara added.
