Guar gum futures fall on weak export demand

Guar gum prices were down by Rs 156 to Rs 8,255 per quintal in futures trade today as participants cut down their exposure largely in sync with subdued export as well as spot demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guar gum for delivery in current month slumped by Rs 156 or 1.85 per cent to Rs 8,255 per quintal, with an open interest of 445 lots.
The delivery for the second contract also shed Rs 3 or 0.04 per cent to Rs 8,376 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 72,970 lots.
