At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guar gum for delivery in February rose by Rs 21 or 0.23 per cent to Rs 9,345 per quintal, with an open interest of 78,310 lots.
The delivery for March contract also rose by Rs 15 or 0.16 per cent to Rs 9,455 per quintal, having an open interest of 6,500 lots.
Marketmen said besides a firm trend at the spot market, fresh positions built up on pick-up in export demand, led to the rise in guar gum prices in futures trade here.
