Guar seed prices lost Rs 75 to Rs 4,227.50 per quintal in futures trade today on continued off-loading of the bets by the participants in line with weak physical markets.
Marketmen said, besides ample ready stocks, sluggish demand for guar gum makers in the spot markets mainly pulled down the guar seed futures prices in a row for the second straight session.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, guar seed delivery for the November plunged by Rs 75, or 1.74 per cent, to Rs 4,227.50 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 4,130 lots.
Likewise, the delivery of the most traded October sank by Rs 60.50, or 1.42 per cent, to Rs 4,199.50 per quintal, showing an open interest of 1,07,580 lots.
