Guar seed prices rose by 5 paise to Rs 3,943 per 10 quintal in futures trade on Tuesday due to raising of bets by participants following firm spot demand.
Marketmen said the gain in guar seed futures prices was mainly due to limited supplies from growing belts.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for October delivery rose by 5 paise, or 0.01 per cent, to Rs 3,943 per 10 quintal in an open interest of 43,030 lots.
Similarly, guar seed contracts for November delivery traded up by Rs 2, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 3,985 per 10 quintal in an open interest of 47,170 lots.
