Hemant Kumar, who works in a real estate company, lives at Dhawalgiri apartment. His 3-year-old daughter Mansi studies in Sanskar Play school.
Yesterday afternoon, when the play school was closing for the day and children were returning home with their parents, two men came to the school gate and said they had come to pick up Manshi claiming her father has sent them.
When guard Anil told them to make a call to her parents and let him talk to them, the two men started talking other things and moved sideways.
Meanwhile, Mansi's mother reached the school. Seeing her, the men fled.
Her mother got scared when came to know about the incident.
Police said some known persons may be involved in the attempted kidnap and launched a hunt to trace the duo.
