At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum for delivery in June climbed by Rs 140, or 1.61 per cent, to Rs 8,840 per quintal in an open interest of 651 lots.
Also, the April contracts were trading higher by Rs 90, or 1.07 per cent, at Rs 8,520 per quintal, having an open interest of 10,380 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in guargum prices to strong spot as well as export demand apart from restricted arrivals in physical markets.
