At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum delivery in October contracts was trading higher by Rs 120, or 1.51 per cent to Rs 8,080 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 16,421 lots.
Second contract of November month delivery also moved up by Rs 110, or 1.36 per cent to Rs 8,180 per quintal, with an open interest of 6,631 lots.
Marketmen said speculative positions created by participants following firm trend at the spot markets mainly influenced guargum prices at futures trade here.
