At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guargum for current month delivery contract rose sharply by Rs 60 or 1.12 per cent to Rs 5,430 per quintal, with an open interest of 486 lots.
Marketmen said building-up of positions at prevailing levels by participants, supported by a firm trend at the physical markets sentiment on strong demand, influenced guargum
prices at futures trade here.
Also, delivery in most-active April month contracts, it was trading higher by Rs 30, or 0.55 per cent to Rs 5,440 per quintal and open interest stood of 26,453 lots.
