At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum for delivery in May advanced by Rs 80, or 1.37 per cent, to Rs 5,910 per quintal, with an open interest of 27,357 lots.
Also, delivery in far-month June was trading higher by Rs 80, or 1.35 per cent, to Rs 5,990 per quintal, in an open interest of 13,746 lots.
Marketmen said increased demand from guargum makers in spot markets, mainly influenced guargum prices at futures trade.
