Marketmen said a firm trend at the domestic spot markets coupled with positive global cues, influenced guargum prices at futures trade.
Besides, pick up in export demand supported the upside in guargum prices, they added.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum for delivery in February pushed up by Rs 45, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 6,347 per quintal, with an open interest of 6,540 lots.
Similarly, the most-active delivery in March delivery rose by Rs 45, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 6,435 per quintal, in an open interest of 40,335 lots.
