Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro is creating a horror anthology series titled "10 After Midnight" for Netflix.
The helmer of this year's multiple Academy Award winner, "The Shape of Water", will act as showrunner on what will be the streaming giant's first anthology horror series, Deadline reported.
The series is described as "the filmmaker's personally curated stories, described as both equally sophisticated and horrific".
Del Toro, who is known for his childhood obsession with monsters and creatures, will write and direct certain episodes of the new show. His credits in the genre include "The Devil's Backbone", Pan's Labrynth" and "Hellboy", among others.
He will also personally select a team of A-list horror writers and new filmmakers to bring his selection of stories to life.
The filmmaker also reunites with "The Shape of Water" producer J Miles Dale and the duo will executive produce with Exile Entertainment's Gary Ungar.
Del Toro has previously worked with Netflix on animated series "DreamWorks Trollhunters", which returns May 25 for the third and final season.
