"More than 300 party leaders and workers, including those who had fought the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, have reached Delhi for an aggressive campaign," AAP convener in Gujarat Sukhdev Patel told PTI.
Dinesh Waghela and Jayanti Mewada, who had contested last year's general elections on AAP ticket from Ahmedabad East and West Lok Sabha seats respectively are in Delhi along with farmers' rights activist Kanubhai Kalsaria, who had fought from Bhavnagar seat.
"BJP leaders have thrived on false campaign, it is our duty as the new-era party to falsify their claims... The ruling BJP has been claiming that they have cleaned Sabaramati river, but it has been one of the most polluted rivers," he said.
"They are claiming that they will clean Yamuna. But what they did to Sabarmati, people know very well and we are sure that Delhiites will not be lured by their false campaign," he said.
"Party workers from cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar and Rajkot have gone to Delhi to support the local party unit. Those workers are going to Delhi on their own will and on their expenditure," he said.
