Guj Chief Principal Sec to CM Kailashnathan gets extension

Gujarat government gave one year extension to retired IAS officer K Kailashnathan, who is currently Chief Principal Secretary (CPS) to Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel.
According to a General Administration Department notification issued here today, Kailashnathan's contractual appointment as CPS has now been extended by an year with effect from May 22, 2015.
After his retirement in June 2013 as Additional Chief Secretary to the Gujarat CM, when Narendra Modi was Chief Minister, the state government created the post of a CPS and appointed Kailashnathan, a 1979-batch IAS officer, for a period of two years, ending on May 31 this year.
Kuniyil Kailashnathan, who is said to be a close confidante of Modi and also of present Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel, has an administrative experience of more than 32 years.
