Addressing a public gathering organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) here today, Patel asked the workers to equip themselves for the future.
"Don't worry about (local body) elections. They come and go. I want you to go on a tour of all the places where state government has undertaken pro-people projects. For example the newly-inaugurated pumping station in Surendranagar through which we provide water to around 5,000 villages of the parched region," she said.
"State government is carrying out many drives, such as free medical check-ups for women and Anganwadi children across the state. I want you to visit the nearby hospitals and Anganwadi centres to understand about these schemes," she said.
