Guj CM inaugurates projects worth Rs 208 crore

Chief Minister Anandi Patel today inaugurated several projects for the city worth Rs 208 crore undertaken by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) here today.
These projects include grade separator under-pass near Thaltej Circle on S G Highway, renovated M J Library near Ellisbridge and primary schools at Ghuma and Vastrapur.
She also laid foundation stones for the beautification of a lake and an over bridge on S P Ring Road.
Speaking on the occasion, Patel said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide development works for the welfare of the people, particularly for the last man in the last mile.
"However, it is also the duty of the citizens to upkeep these facilities and help the government in maintaining cleanliness," an official press release quoted her as saying.
During her speech, Patel also appealed to the citizens to donate funds to construct toilets.
Patel was accompanied by state Roads and Building Minister Nitin Patel, Minister of State Jaydrathsinh Parmar, Member of Parliament Dr Kirit Solnaki, among others.
