Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today laid foundation stone for various projects in Morbi in the Saurashtra region, where the state-level Independence Day celebration will be held.
He said his government will work with "total commitment to transparency, decisiveness, sensitivity, and development."
Apart from laying foundation stone for a Rs 150-crore water resource development scheme and Rs 59-crore water treatment plant, the Chief Minister inaugurated a Rs 111-crore underground sewage project for the city.
Rupani also laid the foundation stone for a Rs-30 crore District Panchayat building, Rs 17-crore police headquarters building, and a Rs 19-crore submersible bridge over Machhu river.

Rupani also said very soon 115 dams in Saurashtra will get Narmada canal water for irrigation.
Later in his address to the public on the eve of the 70th Independence Day, the Chief Minister said it was a matter of pride for him that he was "asked to tread the path on which once Prime Minister Narendra Modi walked."
He said the replication of the Gujarat model of development at the national level is the state's victory.
"Gujarat's governance model has become the leading light for the country. Today the fact that the model is being replicated in the country is the victory of the state's 6.5 crore population," he said.
Rupani also exhorted the youth to adhere to the mantra of "social inclusiveness" and "unity in diversity" so that the country could march strongly ahead on the path of development in the 21st century.
The Chief Minister also praised Modi for giving impetus to development.
