This centre is part of state Tourism Department's 'Seema Darshan' programme, which has been jointly developed by the state government and Border Security Force(BSF) to facilitate citizens to watch various activities in the prohibited area near the border, an official release said here.
Earlier, on December 13, Rupani had announced to open such Wagah-like border viewing point at Suigam while inaugurating Rann-Utsav in Kutch.
Giving details about the new initiative, state Tourism Minister Ganpat Vasava said the 'Seema Darshan' will be open for people after it's inauguration by the CM on December 24.
To popularise new tourist destination, the department has erected a viewing tower at Nadabet, which is around 20 km from Suigam.
Other permanent facilities created at the Border Viewing Centre include sitting area to watch BSF parade, display gallery, amphi-theatre, audio-visual room, retreat ceremony area, VIP lounge and food stalls among others, said the release.
