During a meeting with Union Communication and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in Delhi yesterday, Chudasama conveyed Gujarat government's commitment to provide all necessary clearances and support to the project, to be set up at Prantij town in Sabarkantha district.
He sought the Union minister's intervention in speeding up the implementation, by bringing all stakeholders to agreement so as to attend to procedural bottlenecks, Chudasma told PTI over phone today.
For boosting the development of electronics system design and manufacturing in the country, the Centre had approved setting up two semiconductor wafer fabrication units in the country, including one at Prantij, he said.
Chudasma told Prasad that the Gujarat government was willing to set up national e-governance campus in the state with the support from Department of Communication and IT, to lend sustainability to its efforts and initiatives in e-governance implementation.
On the issue of broadband connectivity, he said the state government has provided connectivity to 13,800 gram panchayats through VSAT technology under its flagship eGram VishwaGram scheme.
