As part of the BJP's preparations for forthcoming by-polls in one Lok Sabha and nine assembly seats in Gujarat, state unit in-charge Om Mathur will meet party workers of four assembly seats to take stock of the ground situation.
During his three-day tour from tomorrow, Mathur will be accompanied by Gujarat BJP chief R C Faldu and BJP General Secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsania, Gujarat BJP spokesperson I K Jadeja said.
Later, these leaders are scheduled to meet BJP workers from the remaining five assembly seats and one Lok Sabha seat in the state. These five assembly seats are Anand, Limkheda (Dahod), Deesa (Banaskantha), Matar (Kheda) and Manianagar (Ahmedabad).
All these seats were vacated by sitting BJP MLAs after they won Lok Sabha elections and resigned as MLAs, like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was MLA of Maninagar.
The lone Lok Sabha seat of Vadodara will also witness by-polls, since Modi decided to retain Varanasi seat and resigned from Vadodara seat before being sworn in as PM.
