Addressing a review meeting of administrative officers today at Gandhinagar, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel stressed the need for better co-ordination between district level departments and the state-level administration.
The joint review meeting was attended by collectors, District Development Officers (DDOs) and secretaries, according to an official release.
Regarding the Gujarat government's 'toilet in every home' campaign, Patel asked the administration to prepare a blueprint to complete it by the Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary celebration in 2019.
As per an official release, Patel also asked them to take the benefit of each scheme to the lowest strata of society, stressing the need to evolve a work culture to ensure that benefits of people's welfare schemes reach the target group, which is the last man at the last mile.
Patel also assured that funds for such statewide projects would not be any constraint.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary Varesh Sinha, Principal Revenue Secretary Anil Mukim, Minister of State for Rural Development Jayantibhai Kavadiya, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma as well as ministers of state Chhatrasinh Mori and Shankar Chaudhri, among others, the release said.
