Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani is embarking on a six-day visit to Israel beginning tomorrow.
Exchange of knowledge in the fields of agriculture and water management will remain the key focus area of the Israel visit, an official release said today.
Minister of State for Agriculture Jaydrathsinh Parmar along with eight senior officials of different departments would accompany Rupani, it said.
This is the first foreign visit of Rupani since he assumed office last year.
Rupani and his delegation would hold bi-lateral talks with Israel's agriculture minister Uri Ariel and minister for economy and industry Eli Cohen.
The CM would also visit various Israeli companies to explore the possibility of entering into cooperation for defence manufacturing under the 'Make In India' initiative, the release said.
The delegation would visit various sites in Israel to understand the latest technologies adopted by that country for water conservation and water treatment.

Rupani today said his visit to Israel would prove crucial in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to double farmers income by 2022, as the delegation would explore ways to increase agricultural productivity by learning latest techniques adopted by Israel.
Rupani and his delegation would also visit the command and control centre of Tel Aviv municipality as well as the diamond bourse.
A meeting with Indian diaspora is also on the cards, said the release.
