"Job fairs were organised successfully across all 33 districts, with the Vibrant Summit opening up new avenues for youths looking for job," Minister of State for Road Transport Vallabh Kakadiya said while inaugurating the fair here.
At the job fair here, organised jointly by the district administrations of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Sabarkantha and Arvalli districts and state Labour and Employment Department, more than 10,000 youths were shortlisted in the first round of selection by around 300 companies, a release said.
As many as 1,100 candidates were selected for apprenticeship, it said, adding representatives of companies such as Tech Mahindra, Eureka Forbes, Arvind Mills, Zydus Cadilla and Anup Industries among others took part.
