Gujarat inching towards victory vs UPCA in Buchi Babu Trophy

Gujarat were comfortably placed at 117 for 2 in 34 overs in reply to Uttar Padesh's modest total of 219 all out in 73.4 overs at close on the first day of their quarterfinal match in the Buchi Babu Memorial cricket tournament here today.
Former India U-19 batsman Akshdeep Nath was the top scorer for UP with 66 (113b, 8x4) while Amir Khan scored 41 and Umang Sharma contributed 34. Gujarat medium pacer Krushang Patel was lethal with the ball claiming 5 for 38.
In reply, Smit Patel (46) and Priyank Panchal (37 batting) have batted with a lot of confidence as Gujarat need only 103 runs with with eight wickets in hand on the second and final day.
