Gujarat: Lightning kills four, injures two

Four persons, including a man and his five-year-old son, were killed and two others sustained burn injuries after they were struck by lightning at a village in the district, police said today.
"Four persons, including two members of a family were killed and two others sustained burn injuries in lightning today at Dingani village in Jamjodhpur taluka," Jamnagar District Disaster Management's control room said.
The deceased were identified as Magan Nanji Adivasi (45), his son Sunil (5), their neighbours Tida Kana Bharwad (35) and Dinesh Kana Bharwad (30), they said.
Magan's wife Kali (46) and their nine-year-old daughter Niru have sustained burn injuries.

The incident occurred when the Adivasi family was resting at their home while it was raining heavily.
Injured persons were taken to a nearby government hospital, while bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem.
