All-India Conference of Directors General/Inspectors General of Police is scheduled to be held in Kutch district from December 18 to 20.
According to Gujarat DGP P C Thakur, this will be the 50th edition of the conference.
"It will be organised in Kutch on December 18, 19 and 20. The previous edition of the annual event was organised in Guwahati (Assam) in November 2014, where our PM gave an inspirational speech to us. This time too, he along with Home Minister Rajnath Singh, is expected to remain present at the conference," said Thakur.
The conference is organised every year by the Central Intelligence Bureau (IB) and attended by the heads of police and other security agencies, he said.
"Apart from DGPs and IGs of all the States and Union Territories, heads of NIA, CBI, IB, NCB and police training academies would attend the event. DGs and IGs of para-military forces such as BSF, CRPF and CISF will also take part in the conference," said Thakur.
