Gujarat unit of BJP enlists 50 lakh members

BJP President Amit Shah today lauded its Gujarat unit's efforts in making over 50 lakh members of the party in the state.
"Over 50 lakh (5 million) people have become BJP members in Gujarat....Congratulations ," Shah said on twitter.
BJP aims to create a world record by enlisting over 10 crore members across the country by March 31, 2015 and emerge as the largest party in the world.
The party's ambitious membership drive was launched in November last year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The party's membership has already crossed the four-crore mark, party leaders say.
