Pilot met I S Israni, a retired High Court judge, and discussed the issue in detail today.
He said the matter of reservation to Gujjars and other castes would be expedited.
Israni, who was appointed OBC Commission chairperson on June 8, has also headed a committee appointed by the High Court to look into the reservation issue.
"I have requested the state government to expedite the matter and I hope that the government is doing it. The appointment of the chairperson is little delayed but I am hopeful of the government's full cooperation," said the Union minister of state for telecommunication here after the meeting.
I also requested the chairperson to study and examine the quantifiable data collection report with regard to the status of backward class in the state and take appropriate step to speed up the matter, he said.
On the other hand, sit-in (Mahapadav) by Gujjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla and his community people continued peacefully in Kushalipura Darra area in Sawaimadhopur district.

They are squatting in a farm near a road which connects Kota and Madhya Pradesh but they have not created any disruption in traffic so far, police said.
"We diverted traffic to avoid congestion on the road for some time last night but now the road is open but the traffic is low today because people are taking other routes on their own," a senior police officer said.
