Vidit the table with 4.5 points. Top seed GM Radoslaw Wojtaszek (2734) of Poland made a short work of GM Mikhailo Oleksienko (2573) of Ukraine, who was in the second position along with Vidit after yesterday's rounds.

Now with 4 points Radoslaw is jointly in the second position along with GM Marat and others.

What should have been an interesting game between GM Deep Sengupta (2540) of Bengal and IM Debashis Das (2464) of Odisha, ended in a lacklustre draw as no one wanted to take risk.

For the second consecutive day, GM Suryasekhar Ganguly (2630) failed to earn full points. Today his compatriot GM Arun Prasad (2513) snatched half point from him. However he remained in the joint third position with 3.5 points along with Deep and others.

GM Sandipan Chanda beat Shreyans K Shah while WGW Mary Ann Gomes (2382) also won her match against S Ravi Teja (2296) and WGM Nisha Mohota (2339) split point with Sidhant Mohapatra (2222) of Odisha.

IM Suvrajit Saha (2338) failed to take advantage to raise his point against lowly rated player Pratik Patil (2185). Same thing happened in the case IM Saptarshi Roy (2402), who drew with K Praneeth Surya (2246).

FM Diptayan Ghosh (2425) of Alekhine Chess Club had a good win today, after yesterday's setback, over compatriot IM Aditya Udeshi (2376). FM Sayantan Das (2312) lost the close battle to IM G Akash (2404).
