Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, today sought Lt Governor Anil Baijal's intervention for reorganisation of all 12 zones of municipal corporations and alleged the AAP government was intentionally delaying the process.
"The AAP government is hatching a conspiracy to stall administrative functions by intentionally delaying the reorganisation of the zones of three municipal bodies," Gupta said in a release.
Notification for reorganisation of the zones of the three municipal corporations in Delhi by the city government has not been issued. Setting up of standing committees and wards committees has also been stalled, he added.
"As AAP tasted defeat in local body polls it is politically retaliating," he said.
Unless orders to reorganise 12 zones of three municipal corporations are issued, it is not possible to constitute standing committees and ward committees of all the 12 zones of the civic bodies, he said.
