Gur chakku up on paucity of stocks

In an otherwise steady Jaggery markets, prices of gur Chakku rose by Rs 100 per quintal at national capital today following paucity of stocks amid thin supply.
However, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets remained quiet on small buying support.
Marketmen said pick up in demand amid thin supply mainly pushed up gur chakku prices in Delhi.
In Delhi, gur Chakku prices moved up by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 2,800-2,900 per quintal.
The following were today's rates per quintal:
Gur chakku 2,700-2,800, pedi 2,750-2,850, dhayya 2,900- 3,000 and shakkar 2,900-3,000.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,500-2,550, chakku 2,625-2,750, khurpa 2,550-2,600 and Ladoo 2,500-2,600.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,450-2,500 and dhayya 2,450-2,500.
