Gur closes flat on sporadic demand

Quiet conditions prevailed at the wholesale jaggery market today as prices settled steady after moving both ways on scattered buying or selling activity.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended on a steady on sporadic demand.
Marketmen said sporadic demand and ample stocks mainly held gur prices unaltered.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,500-2,600, pedi Rs 2,500-2,600, dhayya Rs 2,700-2,800 and shakkar Rs 2,800-2,900.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,500, chakku Rs 2,250-2,500, khurpa Rs 2,200-2,300 and Ladoo Rs 2,350-2,525.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,200-2,300 and dhayya Rs 2,250-2,300.
