Gur closes quiet in Delhi, up in Muzaffarnagar

The wholesale Jaggery market settled on a steady note in the national capital today following small buying support.
On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar gur markets showed a rise of Rs 200 per quintal on paucity of stocks.
Marketmen said fall in supply due to late crushing session mainly pushed up the prices at Muzaffarnagar.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur Khurpa and Chakku prices asked higher at Rs 2550-2600 and Rs 2625-2750 from Rs 2450-2500 and Rs 2550-2650 per quintal.
Brisk demand from beer makers also pushed up the prices of gur Raskat by Rs 200 to Rs 2500-2550 per quintal.
The following are today's quotations per quintal:
Gur chakku 2,700-2,800, pedi 2,750-2,850, dhayya 2,900-3,000 and shakkar 2,900-3,000.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,500-2,550, chakku 2,625-2,750, khurpa 2,550-2,600 and Ladoo 2,500-2,600.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,450-2,500 and dhayya 2,450-2,500.
