Gur closes quiet in thin trade

The wholesale gur (jaggery) market ended on a steady note today as prices of most varieties moved in a narrow range on little doing and settled at last levels.
Marketmen said adequate stocks position against restricted buying by stockists and retailers mainly kept gur prices unmoved.
Following are today's rates per quintal:
Gur chakku 3,200-3,300, pedi 3,200-3,300, dhayya 3,400-3,500 and shakkar 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,600-2,650, chakku 2,750-3,100, khurpa 2,650-2,750 and Ladoo 2,900-3,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,850-2,900 and dhayya 2,900-3,000.
