Gur ends flat in Delhi, rises in Muzaffarnagar, Muradnagar

a steady trend prevailed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital as prices continued to move in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity at settled at previous levels.
On the other hand, gur prices surged up to Rs 100 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar markets on strong demand and tight supplies.
Marketmen attributed the rise in gur prices at Muradnagar and Muzaffarnagar to better offtake by stockists and retailers amid thin arrivals from manufacturing belts.
In Muradnagar, gur Dhayya prices spurted by Rs 100 to end at Rs 2,550-2,600, while Pedi prices were higher by Rs 50 at Rs 2,500-2,550 per quintal respectively.
At Muzaffarnagar, Gur Laddo prices found fresh support, rose by Rs 50 at Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.
