Steady conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices moving in a narrow range in limited deals, settled around previous levels.
However, gur at Muzzfarnagar, edged up on pick up in demand against limited arrivals from producing areas.
Traders said adequate stocks against sporadic demand mainly kept prices steady at Delhi but pick up in demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts led to rise in Muzzafarnagar prices.
At Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku edged higher to Rs 2,400-2,600 from previous level of Rs 2,375-2,600 per quintal.
Khurpa and laddo also traded higher at Rs 2,300-2,350 and Rs 2,500-2,550 against last close of Rs 2,250-2,300 and Rs 2,400-2,500 per quintal, respectively.
