Gur ends in thin trade

Gur (Jaggery) prices settled steady at the wholesale market in national capital today as prices continued to be asked on previous closing levels in the absence of any worthwhile activity.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too displayed a steady trend on scattered deals.
Marketmen said ample stocks position coupled with restricted buying activity, mainly kept gur prices at last level.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 3,000-3,100, dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200 and shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,700-2,750, chakku Rs 2,500-2,650, khurpa Rs N.T. And Ladoo Rs N.T.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,650-2,700 and dhayya Rs NT.
