Gur prices fell by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today on increased stocks following increased arrivals from producing belts against subdued demand.
Gur prices in Muzaffarnagar also depicted a weak trend.
Marketmen said adequate stocks due to pick up in arrivals from producing regions against sluggish demand mainly kept pressure on gur prices.
At Delhi, gur chakku and pedi declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,700-3,800 and Rs 4,000-4,100 per quintal respectively.
In Muzzafarngar, gur raskat and chakku also drifted lower by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 3,300-3,350 and Rs 3,300-3,400 per quintal respectively.
