Marketmen said persistent arrivals from manufacturing belts against reduced demand from beer makers, pulled down prices of gur raskat in Muzaffarnagar.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur raskat prices dropped by Rs 150 to finish at Rs 2,850-2,900 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,350-3,450, pedi Rs 3,300-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,950-3,000 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
