Gur ends quiet in Delhi, Raskat plummets in Muzaffarnagar

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market depicted a steady trend in the national capital today following sporadic demand amid restricted arrivals.
On the other hand, gur raskat prices in Muzaffarnagar crashed by Rs 250 per quintal due to waning demand from beer makers.
Marketmen said increased arrivals of new gur against fall in demand from beer makers, mainly attributed drop in gur raskat price.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur Raskat prices plunged by Rs 250 to finish at Rs 3,000-3,050 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,000-3,050, chakku Rs 3,700-3,750, khurpa Rs 3,400-3,450 and Ladoo Rs 3,700-3,750.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,450-3,525 and dhayya Rs 3,500-3,550.
