Marketmen mentioned a rise in gur prices particularly in Muzaffarnagar to tight arrivals from manufacturing belts due to adverse weather conditions along with strong demand from stockist and retailers.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku and Khurpa prices spurted by Rs 50 each to settle at Rs 3,000-3,100 and Rs 2,700-2,750 per quintal.
Gur raskat price also moved up by Rs 50 to conclude at Rs 2,700-2,750 per quintal on speculative buying by beer makers.
