Gur ends steady in Delhi, surges in Muzaffarnagar

Gur prices settled quiet at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sporadic buying amid adequate stocks.
On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar gur market exhibited a rise of Rs 50 per quintal in gur prices on thin arrivals amid better offtake.
Marketmen mentioned a rise in gur prices particularly in Muzaffarnagar to tight arrivals from manufacturing belts due to adverse weather conditions along with strong demand from stockist and retailers.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku and Khurpa prices spurted by Rs 50 each to settle at Rs 3,000-3,100 and Rs 2,700-2,750 per quintal.
Gur raskat price also moved up by Rs 50 to conclude at Rs 2,700-2,750 per quintal on speculative buying by beer makers.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,925-3,000 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
