Marketmen said increased supplies in the face of reduced offtake by local parties and stockists mainly pulled down gur prices.
At Delhi,gur chakku, pedi and dhayya were down to Rs 2,400-2,500, Rs 2,450-2,550 and Rs 2,600-2,700 against last close of Rs 2,500-2,600, Rs 2,525-2,625 and Rs 2,725-2,825 per quintal respectively. Shakkar eased to Rs 2,700-2,800 against previous level of Rs 2,750-2,850 per quintal.
At Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat, chakku,khurpa and laddo also dropped to Rs 2,200-2,250, Rs 2,200-2,400, Rs 2,100-2,200 and Rs 2,300-2,400 from previous levels of Rs 2,400-2,500, Rs 2,200-2,450, Rs 2,200-2,300 and Rs 2,300-2,500 per quintal, respectively.
