Marketmen said pick up in demand against reduced arrivals mainly pushed up gur chakku and pedi prices.
On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets remained quiet in the absence of any worthwhile moving factors.
In Delhi, gur Chakku prices increased by Rs 50 to Rs 2750-2850 per quintal. Gur Pedi rose by same margins of Rs 50 to Rs 2850-2900 per quintal.
The following are today's quotations per quintal:
Gur chakku 2,750-2,850, pedi 2,850-2,900, dhayya 3,000-3,100 and shakkar 3,100-3,200.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,500-2,570 and dhayya 2,550-2,600.
