Gur pedi, shakkar fall on reduce offtake

Gur pedi and Shakkar prices slipped by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale Jaggery market here today following ample supply amid reduced offtake.
Marketmen said increased arrivals from manufacturing areas against thin demand mainly pulled down gur pedi and shakkar prices.
On the other hand, gur chakku prices in Muzaffarnagar found fresh support and asked higher.
In Delhi, gur Shakkar prices dipped by Rs 100 to Rs 2900-3000 per quintal, while Pedi prices moved down by Rs 50 at Rs 2650-2750 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, prices of gur Chakku traded higher at Rs 2550-2650 instead of Rs 2400-2600 per quintal.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,300-2,350, chakku 2,550-2,650, khurpa 2,450-2,500 and Ladoo 2,450-2,550.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,300-2,375 and dhayya 2,400-2,450.
