In Muzaffarnagar, gur Khurpa prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal on better offtake.
Marketmen said speculative buying, sparked by tight arrivals from manufacturing belts, mainly led to the rise in gur pedi in Delhi and Khurpa in Muzaffarnagar.
In Delhi, gur Pedi prices rose by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 2,900-3,000 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur Khurpa prices enquired higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2,500-2,550 per quintal.
Elsewhere, other gur varieties in Delhi, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar ruled steady on small demand.
