Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also showed a similar trend and prices rose up to Rs 100 per quintal.
Marketmen said scarcity of stocks due to fall in production because of diversion of cane supply towards sugar mills and rising mercury, mainly attributed rise in prices.
In Delhi, gur dhayya prices jumped by Rs 200 to finish at Rs 3,500-3,600 per quintal, while pedi prices ruled higher at Rs 3,300-3,350 from Rs 3,150-3,250 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur khurpa prices ended higher by Rs 50 at Rs 2,850-2,900 per quintal.

Meanwhile, gur raskat traded higher at Rs 2,600-2,650 per quintal on fresh buying support from beer makers.
Turning to Muradnagar, gur pedi and dhayya remained in keen demand and concluded higher at Rs 2,950-3,000 and Rs 3,050-3,100 compared from Rs 2,800-2,850 and Rs 2,950-3,000 per quintal.
Following are today's rates per quintal:
Gur chakku 3,200-3,300, pedi 3,300-3,350, dhayya 3,500-3,600 and shakkar 3,500-3,600.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,950-3,000 and dhayya 3,050-3,100.
